Tonight we began a week of celebrating Michaela, who will be two on Monday. After our last big party for David (which was crazy and cramped), I decided our celebrations would be much smaller in the future. So, tonight Anthony's parents and Miss Sarah joined us for a BBQ and cake. It was a really lovely and relaxed small party, and I think Michaela really enjoyed herself. On Monday, we will do something fun as a family for her birthday. Right now I am thinking we will do an indoor water park, which she loves. Then, next weekend, we'll go to Iowa to celebrate my Dad's birthday with him. We'll also celebrate Anthony's and Michaela's birthdays with my family.
How we thank God for His precious gift of Michaela. We name each of our kids such that we may pray something unique for them. Michaela means "Who is like the LORD?" and Elisa means "Consecrated to God." So we regularly pray for Michaela that she will so treasure Christ that others will be in awe of Him.
